Privacy policy
Tackshift provides restaurant scheduling, shift coverage, training, timekeeping, and payment tools. This policy explains the information we handle when restaurants, their team members, and local workers use the platform.
Information we collect
We collect account and contact details, restaurant affiliations, roles, availability, certifications, schedules, shift applications, training progress, clock punches, payment records, support messages, ratings, and private reports. Payment account and bank information is handled by Stripe. Video uploads are processed by Mux.
Location information
With permission, the worker app uses location to show nearby shifts and to attach a distance check to a clock punch. Tackshift does not continuously track workers in the background. A punch may be flagged for manager review when device location is outside a restaurant's configured radius or has low accuracy.
How we use and share information
We use information to operate the schedule and marketplace, verify eligibility and training, process payments, send service messages, investigate safety or conduct concerns, prevent fraud, and improve reliability. We share only the information needed with participating restaurants, workers, and service providers. Private report identity is limited to authorized Tackshift operations staff unless disclosure is required for safety or by law.
Retention, security, and choices
We retain records for operational, payment, dispute, safety, and legal needs, then delete or de-identify them when no longer required. We use access controls, encryption in transit, audit records, and restricted service credentials. You may update profile and notification settings in the app or request access, correction, export, or deletion by contacting us. Some financial and safety records may need to be kept.
